A wonderful gift for the young women in your life

I'm in my 20s, but I still loved this book. It's frank, direct, and refreshing to read in a society where too often we tiptoe around useful discussions about health, sexuality, and life as a girl. Also, it's a quick and accessible read, so I think it's perfect for the target ages - although anyone can get something out of it!

I'm in love

I should be completely honest and tell you I met the author in college. She is a rare spirit. Some people fade from your memory but Lindsey Jane Markel stays on the surface of my memories almost a decade later.
This is one of the first purchases I made for my Kindle. I would recommend buying the physical book so you can lend it out as soon as you're done. It's amazing. Ms. Markel doesn't urge you to be a better person or a different person, just to let your own individuality shine through. To be the best you. To be the REAL you. I want to give this book to every woman I know. While the advice is wonderful for younger women, it's inspiring and honest and fresh and REAL for every woman. Would that anyone had told me these things when I was younger. Buy two: One for you and one for your friend. Buy one for your niece, your sister the girl next door. If every woman in the world read this book, the light from all the extraordinary women would be overwhelming. I can't wait to see it.

I wish that this book had existed when I was younger

This book is a really amazing gift and resource for any young person, especially young girl in your life. Markel has a gifted way of communicating experiences we have all had, and advice we all wish we had wanted while going through those experiences.
