A summary of Rabbi Gershom's social-consciousness-raising and peace-education activities.

Yonassan Gershom is a Hasidic Rabbi deeply engaged in the modern world for most of his professional career. He is a vegetarian and animal lover, almost as much as he is a champion of humanity, looking to create understanding and peace through application of nonviolent means within the framework of his traditional Judaic principles, with a good dose of Hasidic wisdom, a variety of prayers, poems, and stories interspersed throughout his narrative. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book to get a broader picture of Rabbi Gershom, not to mention the inspiration of his many anecdotes, articles, poems and prayers. The topics and situations included in this book helped round out what I learned from reading his earlier books: "From Ashes to Healing", dealing with reincarnation of souls who endured the Holocaust, and "Jewish Themes in Star Trek", a fun yet through revisiting of those old-time TV show scripts and movies.
